Prof. Werner M. Herrmann Memorial Grant


The Werner Herrman Memorial Grant (5000€) is awarded during the biennial IPEG Conferences to honour the best contribution made by a young researcher (poster or oral communication) in the field of electrophysiological brain research in preclinical and clinical pharmacology, neurotoxicology and related areas of interest.

The winner is chosen by a jury composed of the IPEG-President, the Conference Chairman and a representative of PAREXEL International. The name of the winner is communicated at the closing session of the Conference.


Scientific head of the conference is Prof. U. Hegerl, director of the department for psychiatry and psychotherapy, Leipzig, Germany.


EEG-predictors in Major Depression

First EEG-results from the EMBARC study, published in JAMA Psychiatry. Pretreatment Rostral Anterior Cingulate Cortex Theta Activity seems to be associated with Symptom Improvement in Depression.
